Seeking a Controller! (Software experience OR similar)
Location: Remote (Company HQ in Miami, FL)
About the Role:
Ledgent Staffing is seeking a proactive and detail-driven Controller to join our finance team. While our headquarters are located in Miami, Florida, this position is fully remote. The ideal candidate will bring strong profit and loss (P&L) management experience, excellent communication skills, and a strategic mindset to anticipate financial risks and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of the company's accounting operations
Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Maintain and monitor the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial reporting
Manage and analyze profit and loss statements, identifying trends and variances
Develop and maintain financial forecasts, identifying potential risks and opportunities (early detection of variances, cash flow issues, or budget deviations)
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
Collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making
Lead and support audits, both internal and external
Roll up sleeves to handle hands-on accounting tasks as needed
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
CPA certification (preferred)
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
Strong experience with P&L management, forecasting, and financial analysis
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required)
Experience in the software or technology industry (required or similar industry)
